  35. Quite right, and since the PC clone business gives Escom such comparatively
  36. little profit - as with any PC clone manufacturer - AT can`t really sell at a
  37. loss. If you take their current Amiga prices to suggest that the large profits
  38. made off the A1200 at the moment are in fact funding future machines, thewn you
  39. could say that it`s good for the overall future of the Amiga, but not for the
  40. consumer in the short term. Those consumers are IMHO, more often than not,
  41. experienced Amigans like us who missed the AGA boat when C= went belly up and
  42. want to get an A1200. Less likely are new buyers, since there are more machines
  43. ahead of the queue in the mainstream desirability stakes - PC, Mac,
  44. Superconsoles, even 16-bit consoles...
